Video: World’s largest cargo plane lands at Karachi airport

KARACHI, Pakistan —  The world’s largest cargo plane, Antonov An-225 Mriya, has returned to Karachi (Wednesday).

Flight ADB 3859 touched down at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 11:27 a.m.

According to aviation sources, Antonov An-225 Mriya landed for the first time at Jinnah International Airport on April 20, 2018.

It is by far the largest and heaviest aircraft ever built, with six turbophone engines. This aircraft with the Ukrainian registration UR-82060 has a maximum take-off weight of 640 tonnes.

The Antonov An-225 Mriya, a 32-year-old strategic aircraft, took to the skies for the first time in December 1988.
