UPDATE: X account Global Press that posted the rumor that ‘Biden is in hospice care’ has disappeared from the platform.

A wild rumor going around suggests that Joe Biden is in hospice care. On Tuesday, an X (Twitter) handle, Global Press, reported that a “verified source” told them the 81-year-old is “currently in hospice care and may not survive the night.”

Social media claims Biden is in hospice and White House cancelled Biden’s meetings

The social media account also tweeted a press release, supposedly from the White House, saying that all of President Biden’s Monday meetings were suddenly canceled and that all meetings for the rest of the week were tentatively removed.

X has been filled with reposts of the above tweet, with people saying that this is old news and Biden has been sick for a while now.

Others were furious about the government lying to them and hiding the fact that Biden has Covid.

“If Joe Biden really is in hospice and dies having not made a public appearance after dropping out of the race, there will forever be questions about how he actually died, and who wrote that letter in his name,” a user wrote.

People also thanked Elon Musk’s X for being the platform where they first heard the rumor.

Global Press is not a verified source, so everyone reading this should take it with a pinch of salt.

Biden’s health update

Biden’s COVID-19 symptoms nearly resolved, doctor reports

According to his doctor, Biden’s COVID-19 symptoms have almost completely resolved. On Monday, Biden stayed out of the public eye for the fifth consecutive day, AP News reported.

Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, stated that the president completed his 10th dose of the COVID medication Paxlovid on Monday morning and continued to perform all of his presidential duties.

“His symptoms have almost resolved completely. His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal,” O’Connor wrote in a letter released to the public. The president’s “oxygen levels saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear.”

The president was last seen in public late Wednesday when he arrived at a U.S. air base in Dover, Delaware. He had tested positive for COVID-19 while campaigning in Las Vegas earlier that day. Afterward, he traveled to his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Harris speaks on Biden’s health and legacy

Biden called into the Wilmington, Delaware, headquarters of his former campaign during a visit by Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden, who has endorsed Harris’s bid for the White House, encouraged the staff to give “every bit” of their “heart and soul” to support her. He also promised to be “out on the road” campaigning for Harris.

“If I didn’t have Covid, I’d be standing there with you,” said Biden, his voice sounding a bit gravelly.

In her Monday speech, Kamala Harris said, “Our president, Joe Biden, wanted to be here today. He is feeling much better and recovering fast, and he looks forward to getting back on the road. And I wanted to say a few words about our president. Joe Biden’s legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history,” referencing Biden’s COVID-19 diagnosis.

Biden is scheduled to leave his Delaware home in the afternoon and arrive at the Executive Mansion by 2:30 PM local time, according to his schedule obtained by the NY Post.
