Nippon Steel and US Steel expressed disappointment Friday with President Joe Biden’s decision to block the Japanese firm’s purchase of the American steelmaker, calling it “a clear violation of due process and the law.”
“The President’s statement and order do not present any credible evidence of a national security issue, making clear that this was a political decision,” the companies said in a joint statement.
