According to new reports, X users are now reporting a glitch that prevents them from posting on their accounts. The affected people mentioned getting a “Failed to Send“ error message when they try to post on X. Due to this X issue, users are only able to view posts from others.
What causes the “Failed to Send“ pop-up on X Posts?
Recently, the X team introduced strict rules for unverified users. This new development restricts users to 50 original daily posts. Because of this update, many free X users believe they’re only getting penalized because of the new development.

However, in many reports, the affected users claimed they didn’t even make up to 50 posts before getting restricted. Some users mentioned that they only posted two tweets. After that, they started getting the “Failed to Send“ prompt when trying to post on X. Besides, users who haven’t posted in days also get this error message when they try posting.

You need to understand that this issue doesn’t affect retweeting. Instead, it only prevents the affected users from creating original posts and quoting tweets.
For now, it’s still unclear why the users are experiencing this annoying issue. As noted by PiunikaWeb, the issue may be due to an automated spam filter that misfires on older accounts. It could also be because of a “botched app update,” as some users noted.
Is there any workaround yet?
For now, the X team has yet to speak on the issue in which users get a “Failed to Send“ prompt when trying to post. As such, we currently don’t know of any clear workaround to address the issue. We’ll continue to monitor the team for any fixes, and as soon as we find one, we’ll update you.
