US President Donald Trump’s threat to impose 50 percent tariffs on imports from the European Union are “not helpful at all” amid negotiations between the two sides, France’s trade minister said Friday.

“We are sticking to our position: de-escalation, but ready to respond,” Laurent Saint-Martin posted on social media platform X.
