Rumors regarding the upcoming iPhone 14 series have been flying around since 2021. According to some eye-opening reports, the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will have a different look than the Pro models. One of these reports came from the popular industry insider Ross Young. It reveals that the Pro models will come with Apple’s 120Hz ProMotion display technology. As for the non-Pro models, they’ll lack the 120Hz ProMotion display technology.
A few days ago, a Twitter user posted that the non-Pro models of the upcoming iPhone 14 will come with Apple’s 120Hz ProMotion display technology. However, analyst Ross Young has come out to counter the tweet, saying that only the iPhone 14 Pro models will have the ProMotion display technology.
As you already know, analyst Young has a proven track record for predicting correctly most of the specs and features of Apple’s products. With him double confirming this information, we can safely agree that only the iPhone 14 Pro models will feature the new 120Hz ProMotion display technology.

iPhone 14 Pro specs and price leak
In another tweet, we saw a leak revealing some specs of the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro model. A leaker, who goes by the username @Shadow_Leak, recently released a leak regarding the specifications of the 2022 iPhone Pro model. According to the leak, the Pro model will feature a 6.06-inch Flexible OLED LTPO screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device will also come with a screen resolution of 2532×1170 and a pixel density of 460 PPI.
Furthermore, @Shadow_Leak added the Pro model will come with Apple’s A16 Bionic chipset, with 4nm TSMC creation. It’ll also come with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1 terabyte storage capacity. The iPhone 14 Pro Specs leak also reveals the device features a brand new 48-megapixel F1/1.3 rear camera. The leak also says the iPhone will have a pill-shaped notch and a titanium alloy frame. Last, the device will sell at a starting price (6GB+128GB) of $1099.
The popular analyst has come out again to counter what the specs leak says about the iPhone 14 screen size & resolution. Here’s what Ross Young feels about the leak:
“Panel size isn’t right, slight increase, which means resolution isn’t likely right either.”
