Spotify users report that the Joe Rogan Experience podcast is not loading [UPDATE]

Joe Rogan podcast not loading Spotify

Update: Spotify now says a technical glitch is to blame.

Some Joe Rogan fans are reporting that his podcast isn’t loading on Spotify, causing them to be concerned that it might have been deleted from the streaming service. Several Spotify users have taken to Twitter to ask Rogan why his podcast has disappeared from the streaming service.

However, some users have responded to our Twitter post since we originally reported the problem to say that the podcast loads just fine for them. As a result, it’s possible that the issue is a partial outage, which is good news for Rogan’s fans.

There is also some other good news for those who worried that Rogan’s podcast has been deleted from Spotify. Rolling Stone reports that several podcasts, including Joe Rogan’s, are not loading on Spotify. Some of the other podcasts that appear to have disappeared from the streaming service are those produced by The Ringer, Parcast and Gimlet.

The podcasts were first discovered to be missing today. Rolling Stone contacted Spotify for a comment on why the podcasts are missing, but a representative did not respond. The magazine suggested that if a glitch is to blame, it could be largely internal and only impacting shows that Spotify backs.

Rolling Stone pointed out that the streaming service has an exclusive deal with Joe Rogan and owns The Ringer, Parcast and Gimlet.

Controversy over Rogan

It’s understandable that fans might be suspicious that Joe Rogan’s podcast was deleted from Spotify because it was not loading. He has been at the center of controversy as he faces accusations of spreading misinformation about COVID.

Rogan has also used racial slurs and other offensive language in the past, although he has since expressed shame and regret for his use of racial slurs.
