Top Tracks this Month’ feature disappears Spotify

If you’re pretty familiar with Spotify offerings, you certainly know about the platform’s Top Tracks this Month feature. This monthly view allows listeners to track how their music tastes change over time. Besides, this month view also helps the algorithm to suggest better discovery playlists. However, new reports indicate that many users are frustrated after the ‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature disappears from Spotify.

‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature disappears, Spotify users cry out

According to reports, the feature disappeared suddenly without any announcement from the Spotify team. As such, many users took to different social media platforms to air their frustrations regarding the new development.

If you don’t know, the ‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature provided users with their top 50 most-played songs for 4 weeks. With this offering, users could track their current favorite songs. For instance, Izzydollanganger on the r/truespotify thread said: “I used to add every song from it into a huge playlist, it was a cool way to keep track of what I was listening to the most.”

‘Top Tracks this Month’ Feature Disappears Spotify

Now that the section no longer displays on the desktop, users are frustrated. Houseplant_3447 mentioned that he’s so upset because the ‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature has disappeared from Spotify. The user said the feature has been serving him since 2022.

Is this removal permanent?

The answer to this question is still uncertain because the ‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature still displays in web browsers. This could mean that Spotify hasn’t fully rolled out the removal across all platforms. Besides, the disappearance could also be temporary, allowing the team to decide if it’s a good move or not. Regardless of why Spotify removed it, one thing we know for sure is that many users are not happy with the new development.

It’s worth knowing that Spotify still offers an On Repeat playlist. With this feature, users can view songs they’ve played a lot in recent times. The only difference is that this offering doesn’t give updated data every day. Instead, the update comes every few days unlike Top Tracks, which often changes multiple times daily.

Furthermore, Spotify offers Recents, which allows users to view their recent plays. No doubt, this feature is amazing. However, it has its issues. As noted by a user, it doesn’t allow listeners to shuffle the entire list, something that’s possible with a regular playlist.

For now, Spotify hasn’t provided an official fix to address the issue in which the ‘Top Tracks this Month’ feature disappears. But if you still need this stat, one thing you can do is to use third-party websites, as suggested by a user. Some platforms you can use include: statsforspotify, Volt.fm, and Trackify.
