France’s President Emmanuel Macron will not name a new prime minister in a televised address Thursday evening, a source close to him told AFP.

The head of state is under pressure to pick a name fast to avoid further political turmoil in the key EU nation after a historic no-confidence vote in parliament on Wednesday ousted Michel Barnier’s government.
