The New York Stock Exchange was trading lower on Thursday, weighed down by a broad sell-off in artificial intelligence-related stocks amid concerns over the future of data center projects following the US midterm elections.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq was down 3.8 percent around 1520 GMT. Chip stocks were bearing the brunt of the sell-off, including industry giant Nvidia (-6.72 percent), its competitor AMD (-13.45 percent), and Micron (-12.28 percent).
