Forbes’ annual list of the world’s most valuable brands in 2020 is now out. In case you don’t know, the ranking was done based on the earnings of 200 brands in the past year. Admittedly, the outbreak of coronavirus affected the sales of most companies across the world. However, some companies still manage to increase their brands’ values despite the ongoing pandemic. That said, according to Forbes, Apple sits on the first position on the list of the top 10 world’s most valuable brands of 2020. The company, which currently has a brand value of $241.2 billion, achieved a 17% increase in value in the past year.

With a current brand value of $207.5 billion, Google occupies the second spot on the list of the top 10 world’s most valuable brands of 2020. With that, it means the company was able to achieve a 24% increase in its brand value when compared to last year’s figure. Furthermore, Microsoft sits on the third position on the top 10 list of the world’s most valuable brands of 2020. According to Forbes, the company currently has a brand value of $162.9 billion. Looking at that and comparing it with last year’s value, the company was able to achieve a 30% increase in its brand value.

Brands That Gained And Lost The Most In The Past Year

Of all the brands on the list of the top 10 world’s most valuable brands of 2020, Amazon tops the list of the brands that gained most in the past year. When compared to the company’s value for 2019, Amazon achieved 40 percent in its value to $135.4 billion. Next on the list is Microsoft, which now boasts of a brand value of $162.9 billion. Despite the outbreak of the ongoing coronavirus, the company was able to achieve a 30 percent increase in its value.

Furthermore, Google also saw a significant increase in its value to 207.5 billion – that’s a 24 percent increase in value compared to that of 2019. On the other hand, Facebook saw a decline in its brand value by 21%. With that, the brand saw the highest loss of all the brands on the top 10 list below.
