Verizon Now Support Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL With eSIM

Verizon eSIM Support

Recall that Verizon came out of the box with its eSIM functionality, some months ago. Despite that, the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL users on Verizon are unable to enjoy the dual SIM feature. However, the good news is finally here as Verizon eSIM support now comes to the Google Pixel series. Apart from that, it also extends to Motorola Phones too.

As of now, there hasn’t been any official release from the company. However, the fact that the Verizon eSIM support page is live suggests that the support is real.

The Google Pixel Series

The Google Pixel series, including Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, don’t include any dual physical SIM card slot devices. However, there’s a feature called DSDS or “Dual SIM, Dual Standby”, that can make the dual SIM functional on the pixel series. So, by utilizing both the eSIM and SIM card slot alongside each other, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL can function with dual SIMs.

Now that Verizon eSIM support has come to the Google Pixel series, they, including Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, can finally support DSDS. What that means is that you can finally receive texts and calls from their secondary SIMs. However, you cannot use both the primary and secondary SIMs at the same time. One of the benefits of DSDS is that it allows you to go around with one device in case you have multiple SIMs, instead of two devices. In case you have issues with setting up your DSDS on your pixel, there’s an instruction by Google on how to go about it.
