Several feared trapped as 21-Storey building collapses in Lagos, Nigeria

On Monday, a 21-story building in Lagos collapsed, trapping scores of people beneath the rubble.

The under-construction structure is located on Gerard Road in upscale Ikoyi on Lagos Island. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has activated emergency response plan.

According to eyewitnesses, some workers may have been trapped beneath the rubble.

According to reports, emergency personnel are on their way to the scene.
