Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to freeze again during an interaction with journalists in Covington, Kentucky, video showed Wednesday.

He paused for over 30 seconds after being posed with a query about his potential re-election bid. This occurrence follows a similar incident in July when McConnell, aged 81, went silent for 19 seconds during a press conference on Capitol Hill. During that prior event, he briefly stepped away from the cameras before returning and assuring reporters that he was fine.

In this recent situation, McConnell’s lack of response prompted an aide to approach him and inquire if he had heard the question.

After reengaging, McConnell briefly answered a different question about Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, a member of the Republican party.

Subsequently, McConnell was posed with a question regarding former President Donald Trump, another question that had to be repeated to him. McConnell did not answer the question and departed from the event.
