A viral video of a nurse fainting after taking a coronavirus vaccine shot is doing rounds on social media. This scary moment was recorded during a press conference at a Tennessee. A nurse named Tiffany Dover told reporters she was feeling dizzy and then fainted, as seen in the video posted below.
Tiffany Dover felt dizzy and fainted during the interview
The nurse was giving an interview to local news outlet News Channel 9 when she suddenly started feeling dizzy and unwell.
According to WTVC NewsChannel 9, Tiffany Dover, from CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was one of the first frontline health workers in Hamilton County to receive Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine shot.
“All of my staff, you know, we are excited to get the vaccine. We are in the COVID unit, so therefore, you know, my team will be getting first chances to get the vaccine,” Dover said.
The nurse, Tiffany Dover took a coronavirus vaccine shot 15 minutes before she started feeling dizzy and fainted shortly afterward. The doctor who was standing behind was seen catching her as she fell.
However, Dover recovered quickly and was able to speak to the reporters present at the Tennessee hospital.
“I have a history of having an over-reactive vagal response, and so with that if I have pain from anything—hangnail or if I stub my toe—I can just pass out,” the nurse told WRCB Channel 3.
A doctor said that people shouldn’t worry and reassured the public that such reactions are not out of the ordinary. “It is a reaction that can happen very frequently with any vaccine or shot,” Dr. Jesse Tucker reportedly told WTVC.

“Probably vasovagal syncope, but still bizarre for a nurse to faint after getting the COVID-19 vaccine while talking about how excited she is to get it. Interestingly, her odds of suffering head trauma from the fall are prob greater than dying from COVID-19,” wrote a Medical Degree holder.
