The Extraterrestrial Claims
Photos taken by people throughout the day captured two distinct variations of the cloud. One resembled a classic metallic flying saucer, while the other formed a glowing, hood-like cap over the area. The strange shapes fueled alien speculation and conspiracy theories that spread online.
UFO researcher Scott C. Waring claimed that these formations were not clouds at all. He said these were disk-shaped alien craft utilizing high-tech artificial intelligence to disguise themselves. He claimed that the craft’s internal AI to scan the ground to detect if it is being watched.
According to Waring, if a human notices its presence, the ship instantly alters its cloaking field to disappear. He claimed that this explained the cloud’s sudden disappearance, as described by eyewitnesses.
