YouTube has permanently banned Fox commentator Dan Bongino, accusing him of trying to dodge his recent suspension. The conservative TV host shared a video on his main channel during YouTube’s suspension of his secondary channel, which mostly shares short clips from his radio show.

YouTube suspended Bongino’s secondary channel after accusing it of violating its COVID misinformation policy.

A spokesperson for YouTube told The Hill that when one channel is suspended, using another channel to post videos to go around the suspension is against its terms of service. YouTube has now permanently banned Dan Bongino from its platform, saying that both of his channels have been deleted and that he won’t be able to create another channel again.

The company added that any attempts to create new channels “associated with his name” will also be rejected. Bongino posted a video earlier this week in which he announced plans to leave YouTube for good. He had almost 900,000 subscribers on his main channel.

According to The Hill, the Fox TV host had previously said he would leave Twitter for good due to the platform’s alleged bias against conservative views, but he ended up returning to the micro-blogging site.

Moving to Rumble

The Hill suggests that Bongino will simply move his videos to Rumble, a competitor of YouTube that has been favored by conservatives because it doesn’t censor. Bongino was an early investor in Rumble.

“The Dan Bongino Show” channel on Rumble shares full episodes of his show and has more than 2 million subscribers. The platform has surged in popularity recently, surpassing 30 million monthly viewers a year ago from less than 2 million in the fall of 2020.

Former President Donald Trump also supports Rumble. His new social network, TRUTH Social, is partnering with Rumble.
