Zelensky says ‘thousands’ of Western troops could be deployed as part of security guarantees

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday that “thousands” of Western troops could potentially be deployed as part of security guarantees in a peace deal to end the war with Russia.

“It will definitely not be single digits, but in the thousands. And that is a fact, but it is still a little too early to talk about it,” he said during a press conference with European Council President Antonio Costa in western Ukraine.
