As per the reports, several users of Discord are experiencing an issue where the chat volume levels are resetting automatically. Some users claim that the volume resets to its highest level every time a call begins.

Reports of Discord chat volume issue with levels resetting on their own

Discord is a widely used social media platform that enables users to communicate through text, voice, and video calls. However, some users are dissatisfied as they are encountering problems during their calls.

Meanwhile, some users report that their call volumes decrease to zero and do not increase even when unmuted, forcing them to adjust the volume repeatedly to communicate with others.

“My friends voice goes up by like 100% every now and then consistently. how do you fix this? searched online but didnt find anything,” one person said.

“Whenever I join a call (on PC / Mobile) everyone is muted (0 volume) until I manually change each one’s volume again. How do I stop this from happening?” another person said.

This has understandably caused frustration and annoyance among affected users, who have taken to social media to voice their concerns.

One user claims that muting and unmuting someone during a call immediately sets their volume level to 63%. Another user asserts that whenever they join a call on either their PC or smartphone, all members are muted. And they need to manually adjust the volume for each person.

Redditor says Discord is aware of the issue

Despite attempts to resolve the problem by restarting the app, adjusting settings, and disabling attenuation, users have not found a solution.

According to a Redditor, Discord is aware of the issue and is currently working on a fix, but no official timeline has been provided for when the bug will be resolved. They also recommended others send their reports to Discord so they can take prompt action.

“It’s a known bug but the more people they know about that is affecting the more resources they will put into it.”

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that users have encountered such issues on the platform. Past reports indicate that users have faced similar problems before. We hope that Discord will address this glitch promptly.
