According to current reports, many people are unable to access the platform because clicking on their profile results in the switching profiles issue.
“I cannot log into the site on my laptop and I keep seeing this when I go to click on my profile “We encountered an error when switching profiles. try again” been like this for hours,” a user reported.

“Hey @hulu idk if your program is experiencing like an update or something but i cant get into my profile, just says there’s an error,” another user complained.
Most reports are from shared account users, but the issue is also being experienced by non-shared profile subscribers.
Earlier, subscribers reported the problem in which some live or prerecorded shows played with a black screen with just the audio. Similar reports from almost 3 years ago have popped up, indicating that this isn’t the first time Hulu viewers have encountered this error.
Although the issue was previously resolved for many, it appears that it has resurfaced on the platform.
Official acknowledgment and temporary fix
At the moment, it seems that the issue is primarily affecting Hulu’s desktop editions. As a temporary fix, affected customers might try switching to the mobile or Smart TV app.
Multiple people are irritated because this problem prohibits them from using the service they paid for.
