However, the iPhone 16 Pro models are also rumored to bring notable changes. We are now hearing that Apple is planning two new color options for the iPhone 16 Pro models.
iPhone 16 Pro might feature Desert Titanium and Titanium Gray color options
The iPhone 16 Pro is said to be coming in two new colors: Desert Titanium and Titanium Gray. According to a post on X by Majin Bu, Desert Titanium will be deeper and richer than the Gold option on the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022, while Titanium Gray will be similar to the Space Gray shade from the iPhone 6 in 2014.
Apple started using titanium for the iPhone 15 Pro, and they’re sticking with it for the iPhone 16 Pro, but with different finishes. The previous iPhone 15 Pro had a special Natural Titanium color, and it seems like Apple might continue that trend with this year’s Pro models.
The iPhone 15 Pro series introduced Blue Titanium instead of a gold color option. This hints at the possibility of Apple reintroducing a gold variant in a different shade for the iPhone 16 Pro. Traditionally, Apple offers four color selections for both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Apple’s Pro iPhones typically launch with no more than four color options, often featuring basic colors like black, white, and gold, alongside a more vibrant choice like green or blue.
This year, it’s anticipated that Titanium Gray and Desert Titanium will serve as the standout colors for the ‘Pro’ models. While the iPhone 15 Pro came in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium, gold was notably absent. Gold had been a staple option on iPhones from the 5S to the 8, and then from the XS to the 14 Pro.
Other rumors about the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
This is the first rumor about the iPhone 16 Pro’s colors, and Majin Bu’s accuracy with Apple rumors varies. We’ll likely learn more in the months leading up to the launch. Keep in mind that Apple is still testing many prototypes, so these rumored colors might not be final.
There are also rumors about a redesigned camera setup for the iPhone 16 Pro models, along with bigger batteries. However, it’s too early to say for sure, as the launch is still months away. The iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to feature an improved 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens. This upgraded lens is designed to capture more light, leading to better photos, particularly in low-light situations, when shooting in 0.5x mode.
The iPhone 16 Pro will go from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, and the Pro Max will grow from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches. But don’t worry, the regular iPhone 16 models will stay the same size. Apart from this size increase, we’re not expecting any major design changes for the iPhone 16 lineup.
Moreover, the iPhone 16 Pro Max might feature a 4,676 mAh battery, marking a 5 percent increase from the 4,422 mAh battery found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. With this boost, there’s speculation that the iPhone 16 Pro Max could deliver the longest battery life ever seen in an iPhone, possibly benefiting from efficiency enhancements despite the slight size increase.
