Can we expect a redesign for the iPhone 15? Recent reports suggest that the Pro models in the iPhone 15 series will have a fresh design. Although, the regular models may lose some features.

Apple Leaker reveals iPhone 15 will have a new design

A prominent Apple leaker has recently disclosed what the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro might look like with these alterations. Previously, leaks had been the only source of information.

On Twitter, ShrimpApplePro posted CAD renderings, providing us with a glimpse of the forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro design, which confirms the rumors.

The iPhone 15 Pro’s CAD renderings illustrate a solitary solid-state volume button, as opposed to two separate buttons. Rumors suggest that the volume buttons could employ Apple’s Taptic Engine to deliver haptic feedback.

The images also reveal that the traditional mute switch on the iPhone 15 has been replaced with a mute button. This could be a significant design alteration since the switch has been a part of iPhones since their inception.

iPhone 15 Pro exclusive design: thinner and more curved bezels

According to rumors, the iPhone 15 Pro models are likely to have thinner and more curved bezels compared to the iPhone 14 Pro models. This can be seen in the renders of the device created based on leaked information. The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have deeper curves than the iPhone 15 models. They will resemble the iPhone 14 models with flatter edges, an aluminum frame, and a glass front and back.

Furthermore, it is anticipated that Apple will use titanium for the chassis of the iPhone 15 Pro lineup instead of stainless steel. The front glass of the iPhone 15 Pro models is speculated to have more pronounced curves that blend seamlessly with the frame.

The Pro models of the iPhone 15 series will feature tweaked button designs. In fact, Apple is reportedly planning to replace the mechanical volume and power buttons with solid-state buttons. The solid-state buttons would work similarly to the Home button on the iPhone 7 and the Force Touch trackpad on MacBooks. Instead of physically depressing, the solid-state buttons would rely on haptic feedback to simulate the sensation of a button press.

If Apple does indeed incorporate solid-state buttons into the iPhone 15 Pro models, two additional Taptic Engines could be added to the left and right sides of the device. This will be in addition to the existing Taptic Engine.

In addition, there are rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro series may feature a new copperish-red color.

Other rumors by analysts

It’s expected that the iPhone 15 Pro series would feature the latest A17 Bionic chipset. The processor could be manufactured using the state-of-the-art 3nm process technology. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will come equipped with the A17 Bionic processor.

According to Taiwanese research firm TrendForce, the iPhone 15 Pro models might also boast 8GB RAM, an upgrade from the current iPhone 14 Pro models’ 6GB.

All in all, it seems like the new update has got everyone discussing the upcoming redesign as it looks spectacular.
