Jeffrey Epstein’s younger brother, Mark Epstein, suggested that former US Attorney General Bill Barr might be “protecting” influential people connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s jail cell suicide, NY Post reported.

Mark Epstein raises questions about Jeffrey’s connections and jail death circumstances

Mark Epstein told NewsNation that his brother’s connections with powerful people could have influenced the unexpected circumstances surrounding his death. “He had dirt on people. In 2016, he said he had dirt on the then-presidential candidates,” Mark Epstein speculated.

On August 10, 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, was discovered unconscious in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center. During that period, he was facing federal charges for allegedly trafficking underage girls from Florida to New York.

But Mark Epstein disagreed with the announcement from then-Attorney General Barr. Barr claimed that a pathologist concluded his brother’s death was a result of hanging due to mistakes in the jail.

“Yes, there were screw-ups, but that doesn’t mean my brother committed suicide because of screw-ups,” Mark said, pointing out that the initial cause of death on his brother’s death certificate actually read “pending.”

“Why would Barr be covering this up? Who is he protecting?” Mark claimed. “We need more answers. There hasn’t been much of an investigation at all.”

“The medical personnel, the pathologist — none of them have been questioned, which is highly unusual, especially in high-profile cases,” Mark added.

The Department of Justice did not respond immediately to requests for comment.

Mark Epstein reveals Jeffrey’s bold statements, document disclosures, and high-profile connections

Mark had earlier informed The Post that Jeffrey had boasted about possessing significant insider information related to both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

“Here’s a direct quote: ‘If I said what I know about both candidates, they’d have to cancel the election.’ That’s what Jeffrey told me in 2016,” he said earlier this month.

Mark’s allegations have gained prominence in the last two weeks following the disclosure of numerous documents from a civil lawsuit against Jeffrey’s girlfriend-turned-madam, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Alongside allegations of severe sexual abuse and possible trafficking, the collection of documents also reveals the names of various well-known associates. These include individuals like Trump, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and even Stephen Hawking.

“I think he was just having a good time. You know, Jeffrey liked to have a good time,” Mark insisted. When Jeffrey was arrested in July 2019, his lawyers were ready to secure bail, he added.

In the interview, Mark Epstein was accompanied by his brother’s former attorney, Alan Dershowitz, who became entangled in the scandal when Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre claimed in 2014 that he sexually abused her.
