Well, the good news came as a surprise, during the Pokemon Presents stream broadcast on YouTube. So far, there’s no word on the exact release date of the new Pokemon Snap game.
Pokemon Snap 2 Is Finally Coming To The Nintendo Switch
During the Pokemon stream broadcast today, Nintendo announced that the long-awaited sequel, Pokemon Snap 2 will finally come to the Nintendo Switch.
According to the company, the new Pokemon Snap 2 will focus on the previous Pokemon Snap, which came out in 1999, on the classic Nintendo 64. In case you’re not familiar with the game, here’s a brief explanation of it. The general idea of the game is that you’ll be able to take pictures of Pokemon, instead of catching them.

According to the description on the Nintendo platform, the Pokemon Snap 2, which will come to Nintendo Switch later, is going to focus on the concept of the classic Nintendo 64 game Pokemon Snap.
The description further explained that the game will take players on an adventure to an undisclosed island, featuring different locations, including deserts, jungles, and many more. Here’s what the description on the site looks like below:

Any Official Release Date For The New Pokemon?
According to the CEO of the Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, he only confirmed that the new Pokemon Snap 2 will come to Nintendo Switch. He didn’t say a word as to the release date of the new Pokemon game.
The only thing we are aware of is that Bandai Namco Studios will be the developer for the new game. The classic game was originally developed by HAL Laboratory.
