US has deported at least 42 people to Ghana: rights group

The United States has deported at least 42 west Africans to Ghana since early September as part of an opaque deal, a rights group in Accra said Tuesday.

The latest flight arrived Monday, said the non-partisan Democracy Hub, upping a previous estimate from lawyers of at least 28 deportees.

Neither Washington nor Accra has given their own count.
