According to multiple reports, users are facing issues with the YouTube Homepage not showing up on Google search.
YouTube has had a significant impact on the internet, having started as a basic website for sharing amateur videos and growing into a global sensation that has transformed how we create and consume content online.
Nonetheless, like any platform, it is not immune to glitches and problems such as odd or irrelevant recommendations and videos pausing when typing a comment.
Previously, if you searched for “YouTube” on Google, the YouTube homepage would be the top search result, but this is no longer the case.
Even if you search for “YouTube.com”, the homepage doesn’t appear on the first page of Google search results. However, other search engines like Bing still show the YouTube homepage as the top result.
Many people took to Reddit and Twitter to share their concerns and asked for a way to fix the problem.
One person posted on Reddit: “Does anyone know why the actual YouTube website isn’t showing up when I search “youtube” on my browser(s)? I’ve tried multiple devices and browsers and the only things that come up are the YouTube wiki and specific youtube videos.”
“Very recently, I noticed that YouTube’s homepage link is missing when I search up “youtube” in Chrome. And yet, for some reason, it appears as the first result when I search for it in Microsoft Edge or Bing. Doing some more searching I realized that when I scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the omitted results link, it reappears as Youtube – Home,” another person wrote.
To find the YouTube homepage on Google, you need to scroll to the bottom of the first page and click on “repeat the search with the omitted search results”.
YouTube support has responded to some queries but they have not given any steps for resolving this issue.
Currently, the reason for this error is unknown, and YouTube support has not yet provided a statement on the matter.
