Active shooter reported at Oxford High School in Oakland County. Multiple people were injured, according to the Oakland County Sheriff.

According to authorities, at least one student was shot and four people were injured on Tuesday.
On Tuesday afternoon, there was a large police presence on the scene at the school on N. Oxford Rd. Several dozens of emergency vehicles were seen heading north on Lapeer Road toward Oxford, according to tipsters.
The school district notified parents that there is a “active emergency” at the school and that it is on lockdown.
According to Lapeer Schools on Twitter, due to a “ongoing security issue” at Oxford High School, school officials have been advised by local law enforcement to place all Lapeer School buildings in secure mode “out of an abundance of caution.”
School officials said emergency protocols have been activated, and the school has been placed on lockdown.
Posts about the situation have flooded social media.
Oakland County Undersheriff McCabe stated, “We responded to an active shooter at Oxford High School in Oxford Township at 12:55PM today. At this time it is still an active scene. We have multiple patrol units and multiple EMS units on scene along with SWAT and Aviation Unit.”

UPDATE: Oakland County Sheriff’s Office has suspect in custody following reports of active shooter at Oxford High School.
“We have one suspected shooter in custody along with a handgun,” McCabe said in a statement. “We do not believe there are any other at this time. No confirmed fatal shooting victims at this time.”
Officials believe there are no additional shooters at this time.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is still searching the school for additional victims.
All evacuated students will be reunited with their parents at the Meijer store.
