Anybody familiar with the Elden Ring will surely agree with me it’s one of the most popular action role-playing games out there. It’s not even up to 2 weeks since the game launched, but it already has millions of fans from across the world. Released in February 2022 by FromSoftware, this RPG game offers tons of unique and compelling armaments for its players. One of them is the Rivers of Blood Katana Sword – unfortunately, this feature is currently not scaling according to the latest reports on social media platforms.
Rivers of Blood Katana Sword not scaling: Elder Ring players report
As earlier mentioned, the Rivers of Blood Katana Sword is one highlight of the recently released Elder Ring action RPG. This sword differs from the one you get when you start the Elder Ring game as a Samurai. Instead, you’ll find it at the late-game area Mountaintops of the Giants.
As an Elder Ring player, you need to understand that the Rivers of Blood Katana Sword is one of the most powerful Katanas out there. It has a unique Weapon Skill, called Corpse Piler.
Unfortunately, Elder Ring players who already have the Rivers of Blood Katana Sword currently report that it’s not scaling according to their stats. For now, the exact cause of the issue is still unclear. Let’s have a quick look at some reports regarding the issue below:
ReptarTheBrave reported that he recently got the Rivers of Blood Katana Sword. Unfortunately, after spending all upgrades, this player noticed that there was no scaling damage next to the base damage. You can check below to see exactly what the Redditor said regarding this issue.
Apart from Rivers of Blood Katana Sword, you need to understand that the bug also affected several other weapons. As highlighted by Makhnov, some of the affected weapons are “Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear, Rivers of Blood, Eleonora’s Pole Blade, Clinging Bone, Regalia of Eochaid, Marais Executioner’s Sword.”
Is there any official fix yet?
Currently, there’s an official fix to address the situation, where Rivers of Blood Katana Sword is not scaling according to stats. FromSoftware is currently not aware of the issue, as the developer is yet to release a statement to acknowledge it.
However, the support team of Bandai Namco is aware of the issue, according to this post. The team has just released a new patch for Elden Ring players. This update includes balance changes, new features, and various bug fixes, including the one for addressing the scaling issue.
