France again breaks hottest-ever night record: weather service

France experienced its hottest night from Wednesday to Thursday since measurements began in 1947, the national weather agency said, breaking a record set earlier in the week.

The national temperature indicator — an average of daytime and nighttime temperatures across 30 stations — reached 22C, Meteo France said, citing provisional data, coming days after a record 21.6C was measured Monday to Tuesday.

  • And why is this reported like it’s a tragedy? We had 27C-28C numerous times over the years and are about the same latitude. Weather was made an industry and it is based on sensational just to keep profits up.
