The Google Play Store serves as the official app store for Android devices, and allows users to browse, download, and install various digital content such as apps, games, music, and movies.

1. Go to Settings, Apps, and then Google Play Store.

2. Click on the 3 dots on the top right and select ‘Uninstall updates’ when a notification asks to set Play Store to Factory Default.

3. Force update the app and let it run for some time in the background.

Hopefully, this solution works for those affected and they can continue using the Google Play Store as usual.

The issue has also been recently marked by Google as ‘Assigned’ in the official issue tracker. Therefore, the team is possibly aware of the persistent issue and working towards a solution.
