OnePlus announced on Tuesday that it has begun rolling out the Android 12 update based on OxygenOS 12 to OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro users.

The OxygenOS 12 update includes system-level improvements and features, as well as changes to the user interface.

There are some new design elements and animations that appear to be new. The textures on the app icons have also been updated. The update adds Dark mode, which now has three adjustable levels for a more personalised and comfortable user experience.

The gallery now allows users to switch between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognising the best-quality images.

Work-Life Balance is now available, allowing users to switch between Work and Life modes via a Quick Setting. Each mode can be customised with app-specific notification settings, and each mode can be activated based on location, Wi-Fi network, or time.

To see if the handset has received the Android 12 stable update, go to Settings > System > System Updates. If not, please be patient as it is being rolled out in batches, just like any other OTA software update.
