Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the newest smartphone from Samsung. The device, released in February 2022, comes with tons of amazing features and specifications. For instance, Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display, with 3088×1440 resolution and a pixel density of 500 PPI. The device also comes with a battery capacity of 5000mAh. Unfortunately, according to the latest reports, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra users are experiencing a “battery drain” issue.

According to multiple reports, it seems the users are now experiencing a new issue. This time around, it’s the battery of the smartphone that’s giving a lot of users concern.

According to the affected users, the Galaxy S22 Ultra devices are experiencing a battery drain issue. Explaining the issue, the affected users mentioned that the battery often drops percentages pretty quickly. Some users have also reported that the issue also affects the Galaxy S21 Ultra slightly. Is there any official fix for this issue?

The exact cause of the Galaxy S22 Ultra battery drain issue is still unclear. Samsung hasn’t yet released an official statement to acknowledge the issue.

A few days ago, Samsung rolled out the May 2022 update to eligible users in the United States. The update comes with a firmware version G991USQU5CVDB. Interestingly, the update brings several bug fixes, including the one for the battery drain issue. After receiving the update, a couple of affected users (1,2) mentioned that the May 2022 update slightly resolved the Galaxy S22 Ultra battery drain issue.
