A video of a student copying or stealing notes in a class with the help of Apple’s iOS 15 live text OCR feature has gone viral on social media.
While Apple’s competitor Alphabet already provides similar functionality through Google Lens, Apple has integrated the new feature deeply into iOS 15 via the camera and photos apps.
“It’s hilarious when ios users praise a new feature which android users have been using for ages,” one user tweeted under the comments where the video was posted.
The ‘iOS 15 stealing notes video’ was first posted by a French student on TikTok.
TikTok user Yann Bernillie’s (@YannBernillie) video has reached over a million views and has been shared over thousand times, at the time of writing, on the Chinese video platform.
