Google released the stable version of the latest Android 11 operating system on September 7. Almost immediately, the search giant rolled out the software update to its eligible Pixel devices. Furthermore, a few Android OEMs like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Realme also joined Google to roll out the update to a few of their devices on the first day. The latest report now has it that Samsung is about to join other OEMs to start rolling out the update. According to a recent post on the Samsung Community, a Beta Operation Manager revealed that the company’s new Android skin, One UI 3.0 Android 11 beta update will soon start rolling out to the eligible devices. Last month, Samsung opened registration for the closed developer beta version of One UI 3.0 Android 11 update. Initially, registration for the beta program kick-started in South Korea. However, it has now commenced in the US as well, with many developers already registering for the new update. Since the registration is for a closed beta program, it means the One UI 3.0 Android 11 update won’t offer all the new features that Samsung has in mind.

According to the report, the new update will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S20 users first. For now, there’s no official statement yet as to the release date of the new update for Galaxy S20 devices. However, the beta manager revealed that it’ll likely start rolling to users in South Korea, the US, and a few EU countries, pretty soon – probably in the coming weeks.

To get started, you’ll need to enroll for it through the Samsung Member app. In case you don’t know, the application comes, pre-installed on all Galaxy devices. According to the beta manager, you’ll also get the download link of the update via the app.

Furthermore, the One UI 3.0 update will come with a host of features, alongside those introduced by Android 11. They include call screen customization, Bixby Routines, improved Digital Wellbeing, improved auto-focus, improved Photo editor, and many more.
