The latest iPhone 14 has many advanced features. Among them is the Dynamic Island feature that has been blocking or covering information in apps and games for some iPhone 14 users.

Dynamic Island is an upgrade to the long-standing notch on the iPhone models. Users can unlock their iPhones or click selfies from Dynamic Island. Apple has integrated innovation functions along with the pill-shaped cutout for a revamped front look.

Reports of iPhone 14 Dynamic Island blocking or covering content

Several users have taken to social media to complain about the issue. It is annoying for them to be experiencing the glitch in their brand-new iPhones.

“Is anyone else getting the glitch after leaving an app where the “dynamic island” is covering the App Library info?” one user posted.

“Not a fan of the new iPhone 14 Pro or maybe I’m just too used to my iPhone 8,” posted another.

Users expressed their confusion about the functionality of the feature and potential improvement in design.

“I’m having a hard time understanding why the dynamic island functions as it does. You’d think that Apple would’ve made it so it’d be ignored if there was nothing to display, and treated as part of the normal screen,” a user wrote.

Thus, the feature has become an obstacle for streaming apps and prevents users from playing video in full-screen mode. It also takes over most parts of the Spotlight search bar, causing more difficulties for users to access it.

Third-party apps need time to adjust

Some people shared that third-party app developers may need some time to adjust to the upgraded UI.

“This was a feature that wasn’t exposed to app developers until the apple event last week. Apps will adjust to accommodate- give them time.” a user replied to a Reddit thread.

Meanwhile, Phone 14 Pro and Pro Max owners should wait until every third-party app and iOS adapts to the new Dynamic Island. Apple has not officially acknowledged the issue yet.

Some iPhone 14 and 14 Pro users have reported an overheating issue or their devices are getting warm. The issue persists even with limited usage of their phones.
