Massive blackout halts trains across all of Spain, railway operator says

A widespread blackout affected Spain, Portugal, and parts of southern France on Monday, according to grid operators, disrupting the lives of millions.

The exact cause of the outage was not immediately disclosed.

Spain’s railway operator Adif reported that the power failure brought train services to a standstill nationwide, while airports operator Aena said “several incidents” were reported at Spanish airports.
