Clubhouse app for Android is releasing soon

Clubhouse Android app release date

Although the Clubhouse Android version is in progress, we are yet to see what will be the release date of this invite-only chat app.

The clubhouse is an invite-only app where people can join virtual rooms and take part in discussions and talk on topics of similar interests. It is an audio-based app and those people with the invites can only chat with other people in the virtual rooms.

What is the release date of the Clubhouse app for Android?

It has become the latest social media trend taking the world but as of now, it’s only available on the iPhone. Despite the app’s limited availability, Clubhouse just continues to gain popularity. And thankfully, its Android version is under development.

In their latest blog post in January 2021, Clubhouse discussed the Android app. This post comes as a key announcement that the company is aiming to bring the app to the entire world in 2021. For now, it is an iOS-exclusive app but Google users will hopefully see it soon too.

“Welcoming more amazing people: From the earliest days, we’ve wanted to build Clubhouse for everyone. With this in mind, we are thrilled to begin work on our Android app soon, and to add more accessibility and localization features so that people all over the world can experience Clubhouse in a way that feels native to them.”

This isn’t a release date of course but since the company has said it’s planning to start working on the Android app. Up to this point, Clubhouse has been available only on iOS. But we simply can not comment on what exactly will be its release date on Android.

Bill gates interview on Clubhouse

The iOS-exclusive app got further popular as Bill Gates joined an interview on Clubhouse to discuss several topics. As part of the discussion, the years-old ‘Android versus iPhone’ debate came up. Gates explained why he preferred Android to iPhone.

He said: “Some of the Android manufacturers pre-install Microsoft software in a way that makes it easy for me. They’re more flexible about how the software connects up with the operating system. So that’s what I ended up getting used to.”

Clubhouse co-founder Paul Davison also took part in the same conversation. He explained that the team is working on Android support. Davison continued that Android is the “top feature” the team is looking forward to building. He also added how “important” Android is for Clubhouse’s global market. However, there was no confirmation of when the Android app might roll out.
