Forza Horizon 5 ‘unable to connect to session’ error: any fix yet?

For now, there’s no official fix yet to address the annoying error message preventing players from connecting to Horizon Life or any multiplayer game. However, the good news is that the Playground Games team is already aware of the issue and is now working on a fix to address it.

We don’t know when the fix will be ready but we’ll keep you posted regarding it. In the meantime, you may try any of the workarounds below to address the issue temporarily.

Workaround 1: suggested by Crimsaq

  • First, you need to enter Horizon Life.
  • Next, let the Connectivity Issue dialog appear at the top of the screen but avoid interacting with it.
  • After that, go into “Online” and find a convoy to join.
  • Once you successfully join, return to Horizon Life and acknowledge the error.
  • Now, you can leave the convoy you joined and start playing online.

Workaround 2: suggested by Loki-1

For this workaround, all you need is to disable LabView.

  • To do that, open the search bar on your Windows and enter “Run.”
  • Next, open the Run program. Inside the text box, type and enter “services.msc.”
  • After that, select and open the NI services which you can find on the list.
  • After opening them (one at a time), click on the “Disabled” button and tap OK.
