The latest reports from the tech industry indicate a leak of Huawei smart speaker. Around April this year, news regarding a developing Huawei device surfaced online, the device was initially speculated to be a part of Huawei’s Smart Screen lineup. However, the latest leak confirms that the new Huawei device is a smart speaker featuring a touchscreen panel. The yet to be launched smart speaker is expected to support several functions. The smart speaker will also support smart home and audio-video playback.

The leaked images reveal that the smart speaker will feature a square-shaped body, the upper half of the body is a touchscreen while the lower half will be a mesh speaker. There is also a camera sensor at the top, the camera sensor is shaped as a circular knob. In addition to the usual smart speaker functions, the brand new Huawei Smart Speaker is also likely to support smart home control. The smart speaker will be able to make video calls by virtue of the camera sensor.
Huawei has been focusing on strengthening its Internet of Things (IoT) category. Huawei prides itself on its lineup of devices that range from smartphones, tablets, laptops, TVs, and car display units. The recent invention of the smart speaker shows that Huawei is beginning to offer a full ecology of products for its smart home features.
The soon to be launched Huawei smart speaker will also come with features that will allow it to be paired with a second speaker for stereo sound. Moreover, like several other smart speakers developed by the company, it is powered by Xiaoyi AI voice assistant. The voice assistant will control smart home products that support HUAWEI HiLink.
