Reports of HBO MAX ‘Not available in your region’ error

Max, formerly known as HBO Max, is a well-known streaming service that has recently undergone a rebranding. Warner Bros. Discovery, the company behind the service, made this announcement along with their plans to integrate the existing HBO Max content with the content available on Discovery+.

This integration brings about a broader selection of shows, movies, and exclusive content for Max subscribers to enjoy. The rebranding is intended to enrich the streaming experience and offer users a wider range of options to choose from

“Been a subscriber for years, and then today it says there’s no Max in my region. It better be resolved by Sunday … and of course for new season of And Just Like That,” a user posted.

The cause behind users experiencing the “Not available in your region” error on Max in regions officially supported by the service is currently unknown.

Fix available + potential workaround

The Max support team has not yet acknowledged this issue, but it is anticipated that they will address it promptly due to the significant number of users unable to access the service. Unfortunately, there is currently no known workaround for this glitch. Therefore, users will have to wait until the support team devises a definitive solution.

The ExpressVPN moderator has provided confirmation that the problem related to the Max app not functioning on Mediastreamer has been successfully resolved.

“Hey everyone, this was an issue that we were aware of affecting a number of our users. We’ve since rolled out a fix and AppleTV via Mediastreamer should now be working. We just require you to restart your device, and it should work as per normal,” they wrote.

Additionally, several users have indicated that utilizing a VPN does not resolve the problem in specific regions. However, it seems that the service is gradually being restored for certain users.
